About Ash Tree Candles
Ash Tree Candles is a bespoke candle studio creating environmentally friendly plant based scented candles designed for everyday rituals.
Rooted in wellness, self expression and sustainability, each candle is hand poured using natural soy wax and toxin free, vegan and animal cruelty free fragrances. Every scent is thoughtfully crafted from plant based notes chosen to evoke memory, emotion and meaning.
At the heart of our brand is the ash tree, often known as the tree of life, symbolising connection, balance and healing. That spirit lives within every candle we create. Each flame is an invitation to slow down, reconnect and bring intention into your space.
Our Story
Ash Tree Candles began in a very personal way.
We started making candles because we wanted autonomy over the ingredients being brought into our home. After learning about the toxins emitted by paraffin candles, which are often cheaper and known for their strong fragrance throw, we felt inspired to create something cleaner and more intentional.
What began as curiosity soon became comfort.
Formulating our own scents allowed us to create fragrances that helped us feel calm and at home. Lighting a candle became more than decoration. It became an escape. A way to dream beyond our surroundings and imagine new spaces. The process of making each candle brought a sense of peace that we wanted to share.
Friends and family began requesting candles for their homes and special occasions. Something that started as personal slowly grew into something shared.
A turning point came when we joined the Enterprise Programme with The King’s Trust. With their support and guidance, we were able to turn the dream of having a candle shop into something real. Since then, Ash Tree Candles has appeared at pop up shops in Liverpool and Northampton, and formed concession partnerships in Birmingham at Sweetfields Bakery in Sutton Coldfield and at Chaulden Post Office in Hemel Hempstead.
Connecting with people in person has been one of the most meaningful parts of this journey. There is something special about watching someone discover a scent that resonates with them.
While our online shop allows us to connect with people across the country through scent, gifting and shared moments, we will always value the warmth of meeting face to face. We look forward to meeting many more of you as the Ash Tree community continues to grow.
